Glossary
The language of managed affiliate sites.
Every term you need to understand how the platform works, no jargon left undefined.

- Affiliate commission
- The cut a retailer pays you when a visitor you referred makes a purchase. With usebravery, links carry your own partner tag, so commissions are paid to you.
- PA-API
- Amazon's Product Advertising API, the official source of product data and prices. A managed proxy fills your catalogue under your tag until your own access is approved.
- Amazon Associates
- Amazon's official affiliate programme. Your account, the partner tag that ties sales to you, and the commission those sales earn all live here; Amazon pays it out on its own schedule and at its own rates.
- Associate tag
- The short tracking ID Amazon adds to your links; it is what ties a sale back to your account. We embed your own tag for each market, so the commission goes to you, never to us.
- Attribution window
- The 24-hour window after a visitor clicks your Amazon link in which their purchase counts toward your tag. It is the window for crediting a sale, not the time it takes to get paid.
- Cross-market matching
- Linking the same product across the US, UK, and DE marketplaces, so each visitor sees their local marketplace, at the local price, with your tag for that market. Comes with multi-market plans.
- Box-per-tenant
- Running each customer's site on its own isolated virtual machine (its own box) instead of sharing one server. No noisy neighbours, no shared blast radius.
- Custom hostname
- Your own domain pointed at your managed site. Issued and TLS-secured automatically via Cloudflare for SaaS, with a usebravery subdomain available whilst DNS settles.
- Provisioning
- The automated pipeline that stands a site up: box, domain and TLS, branding, the stack, the database, seeded products, then activation, idempotent and resumable.
- Price refresh
- The managed, scheduled job that re-checks each product's price and stock so your site stays current. It runs on a tiered cadence and never costs you credits.
- Cold start
- The empty-site problem a new affiliate faces before any product feed is approved. Solved here with a managed feed that seeds live products on day one.
- Duplicate content
- Near-identical pages across many sites, which search engines filter out of the index. Prevented here with per-site original content and a similarity gate.
- Category pack
- A curated vertical (watches, perfume, and more) that usebravery produces, the content engine, taxonomy, and structure for a specific category.
- Quality gate
- An automated pre-publish check that stops thin, untranslated, or incomplete pages before they go live, so weak content never reaches your visitors or search engines.
- Structured data
- Machine-readable JSON-LD (schema.org) that spells out a page's products, prices, FAQs, and articles, so search and AI engines read it correctly. It opens the door to rich results without guaranteeing them.
- Tenant
- One provisioned customer site. A billing account (organisation) can own one tenant on Starter or many on Agency.
- Product-add
- The unit of catalogue growth: add one product, by hand or in a bulk run, and it counts as one product-add against your plan's monthly allowance. Only products that pass the quality check count.
- Catalogue ceiling
- The most products that can be live on your site at once on your plan. Hit the ceiling and new adds pause, but everything you have already published stays online and earning.
- Content credits
- The metered allowance that feeds AI content generation and the on-site chat advisor. Product-adds and price refresh are credit-free and never come out of this pool.
