Connect your custom domain
Point your own domain at your Bravery site with a couple of DNS records, then wait for our quick review and the secure padlock to go live.
Your site already works on its built-in address, but a domain you own (like bestwatchpicks.com) looks more professional and builds trust with shoppers. This guide walks you through pointing your domain at your Bravery site. You do not need to touch any code, and you can follow along with the video above.
What you need before you start
- A domain you have already bought (from a registrar such as GoDaddy, Namecheap, or Cloudflare).
- Login access to that registrar so you can edit DNS records.
- A few minutes, plus some patience while DNS changes spread across the internet.
Add the DNS records
- In your Bravery panel, open Settings and find the Custom domain section.
- Type the domain you want to use (the apex, meaning the bare name like bestwatchpicks.com with no www) and save it.
- Bravery shows you the exact DNS records to add. Copy them.
- Log in to your domain registrar and open its DNS settings.
- Add the records exactly as shown. For the apex we use a CNAME-flatten (also called ALIAS or ANAME) record so the bare domain works.
- Save your changes at the registrar and come back to the Bravery panel.
Review and the secure padlock
After the records point correctly, your domain goes through a quick review on our side to make sure everything is set up safely. Once it clears, we issue the security certificate automatically and the TLS pill in your panel turns green. That green padlock means visitors reach your site over a secure connection, which shoppers and search engines both expect.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to buy my domain from Bravery?
No. You buy the domain wherever you like, then point it at your Bravery site using the DNS records we give you.
Why is my domain still not loading after an hour?
Almost always this is DNS propagation still finishing, or a record that does not exactly match what the panel shows. Double-check the records, then wait a bit longer before reaching out to support.
